INR Autograph
Hello INR Members and Fellow Racers!

Our solo season is coming to an end this weekend with our final event! Time certainly does fly! Come and join while we wrap up the season with our charity event which will include normal season points runs and conclude the day with fun runs.

Thanks to all 62 drivers that attended our last event! I also need to thank all those that came out and set up the course and continue to make our events run smoothly.

In November, we will have or annual Turkey Rally.  Read more about it below.

BOD Nominations: It's that time of the year to submit your nominations to become an INR board member. If you want to be part of the INR team and think you have some great ideas that can help us become a better region, please submit a nomination form.

Anyone interested in joining the BOD should have their nominations turned in by the October 15th membership meeting at the Schoops in Crown Point. We will have blank forms available at the meetings or download a copy here. Eligibility is based on at least one years' membership with INR SCCA. Our next event is a charity event! All proceeds will be donated to Northwest Indiana Food Bank.  We have supported their annual food drive for the past few years and we want to take this event to honor their commitment. Click on the image below to read more about the food bank.

Upcoming Events!

Come and join us Thursday October 15th, 6:30 pm at Schoop's in Crown Point for our monthly Membership meeting.

Down the road:

Our Turkey Rally will be held on November 7th. The starting point of the rally will be in Crown Point at the Strack and Van Till on 200 W. Franciscan Drive.

What is the Turkey Rally? The turkey rally is an event that spans an obscure
course through some part of Northwest Indiana. Every car needs a driver and a co-driver and will be provided route instructions that can be rather
obscure...which is where you will find the fun, and frustration! Each vehicle has to be licensed and street legal. The objective is to complete the treasure-hunt-like course and work towards meeting the target mileage. The team closest to the correct mileage wins! At the end of the drive, we all meet at the final destination and have dinner and laughs!

Event details (Tentatively):
  • Meet at Strack and Van Till
    • 200 W. Franciscan Dr.
    • Crown Point, IN  46307
  • $20 per car
  • Registration: 8:00-9:00 am
  • Driver's meeting at 9:30 am
  • First car off at 10:00 am
  • Converge on Final destination around lunch time - roughly
Note: The final destination will be considered our membership meeting for November. If you do not want to take part in the rally, but would like to join us for lunch, we will provide the final destination (once it has been determined).

Further down the road:
  • Christmas party December 5th. Location TBD
  • 2015 Awards Banquet, January 23rd, 2016

Dirty Dozen
Each year, attendees of our events and meetings have the opportunity earn points towards our Dirty Dozen award. The points vary based on events and work performed such as registration, timing, grid, etc. Other than member on the BOD, everyone is eligible to earn points.

If you have attended other clubs events, road racing or helping at road race events, please let us know as we will recognize these contributions with another award which has not been specifically named.

Although this write-up by Grassroots is probably a bit late for the season, reading about dialing in your suspension may give you food for thought during the off season.
